Flower Table

I've been looking for a round dining table that will fit near my bay windows. I want something that's modern but not chunky. I like the look of glass top tables, but I don't want to see someone's feet while I'm eating.

I stumbled upon Japanese designer Shige Hasegawa recently and I'm madly in love with his Hana Table. Although, it's a coffee table, it would be perfect as my dining table too. It's modern and has a glass top, but I don't have to worry about seeing people's feet.

It's beautifully designed too. It's inspired by origami that uses five plywood legs with no screws or nails. Easy assembly!

I really really love it and would love to have this table, even as a coffee table, but I'm sure it's $$$.

Sigh, so my search for the perfect round dining table continues.....

Flea Market Chic

I love this type of interior design - eclectic, vintage, feminine, busy but organized chaotic. It's the look and lucky finds you discover at your local flea market that make it impressive. I have yet to go to a flea market recently, but I'm dying to go and see what I can find.

Does my place look anything like this? Unfortunately not. I'm still working on it! Well, it's hard to pinpoint what exactly I want to do in each room. It's so hard when I like so many styles!

Bookcase Organizing

Behind my couch is a fantastic wall filled with bookcases. I'm not sure how I should arrange the books - trendy, color coded or more traditional mish-mash by subject.

I had originally thought about doing it color coded since it looked cool and modern. Plus, it would definitely bring much needed color into the room. But, on the left side are three rows filled with DVDs. I'd have to color code those too (a bit hard...but doable) so it'd match the color coded books. The DVDs are in alphabetical order right now and I kind of like that way since it's easy to find certain movies.

Hmmm..? Don't know what to do..... Can't you tell I'm type A? :P
