Never Gets Old
Saw Margot & the Nuclear So and So's back in May at the Great American Music Hall. Seen this awesome band a few times and they always rock it. Love.

Saw Franz Ferdinand back in April at the Fox Theatre in Oakland. It was the first time seeing them and the new venue - amazing.

Ahhhhh, I just found out Phoenix is coming to San Francisco! Yay. I'm soooo excited. Don't know who I'm talking about? Check out this earlier post.
What's even better is they're playing at my favorite venue, The Warfield. Tickets go on sale tomorrow at TicketMaster.
I really want to go, but Jason's brother's getting married the next day and I'm not sure if I'll have to attend pre-wedding stuff. Ahhhhhhh :(

Yay! One of my favorite bands, Margot and the Nuclear So & So's are playing tomorrow night at the Great American Music Hall. I've seen them twice before and they always put on a great show. Every time I hear their music, I get so excited. Who knew an EIGHT member band would sound so smooth? Their songs never get old. Love.

Last Saturday, the much anticipated show finally rocked out (see original post).
I of course, like always, lagged on purchasing the tickets, so my friends and I didn't have any advanced tickets to see The Ting Tings at 330 Ritch. The show was already sold out so we stood outside in the cold for an hour and half in hopes of being able to see them. We luckily [ except for one friend :X ] all got in, patience is key! ;)
The opening act, Hottub, were a group of girl rappers. NOT a fan. I didn't like them at all. I couldn't hear what they were rapping about and their beats weren't even sick. Sounded like a whole lot of nothing.
And then.......The Ting Tings. Yay. They are so fun to dance and listen to. I was in about the fourth row, super close (love that venue). It was pretty freaking hot and the guys around me were sweaty, gross and stinky. Sigh, good times.
So glad I got to see them. I wouldn't say they put on the best show, but both Katie and Jules are fun to watch. I can't wait for another show by Popscene. They always put on great shows and jam good music before, in-between and after the acts. Yay for Popscene!

For Halloween, instead of dressing up like a slutty angel, school girl, nurse, girl scout, maid or cowgirl, I went to Blakes in Berkeley to see my friends' band's show. Atama rocked it per usual (their next show is tomorrow, November 6 at Voo Doo Lounge in San Jose - check them out!). The second band was cool and the third band was....lame. The most funny part is watching the audience in costumes rocking out. I don't remember that many interesting costumes, but my friend, Jon killed it with his homemade storm tropper costume. The helmet was awesome and everyone got to try it on.
And for whatever reason, we randomly found a box of old electronics on top of our car when we got back.....wtf? Berkeley's fun. Always an interesting experience. :)
Check out my culinary delights from that night here and here.

Another favorite local band of mine, Scissors for Lefty (myspace here), is playing this Saturday at Rickshaw Stop! Woo hoo! The first time I saw them was actually all the way in Austin, TX at SXSW. Unfortunately, something always comes up whenever they're playing here in SF so I haven't been able to see them play again. Although, I DID see them at Chipotle on New Montgomery! :D :D :D
I'm really hoping to see them this weekend and check out Rickshaw. Yay!
ENJOY!!!

Needless to say, last night's concert at Bottom of the Hill was AMAZING.
I've heard The Action Design on the radio before but have never seen them live. Love.
And of course, Von Iva, they always put on a good show. Badass.
The headliners, Girl in a Coma, eh, not so into them.
If you ever get a chance to see these bands, I highly recommend it! :D
